Back in December 2009, PC Gamer gave away a promotional DLC for Dragon Age: Origins with the issue where it reviewed the game. That DLC, A Tale of Orzammar, is a short, unvoiced prequel to the Dwarf Noble origin set in Tapster's Tavern and the Aeducan Thaig. It's mostly of interest to completionists and dwarf enthusiasts, but it was made by the
Please excuse any etiquette mistakes, I don't use Reddit much. For those that don't know, Dragon Age: Origins' DLC requires connection to a now-defunct Bioware service. On PC and such there are plenty of work arounds to active them anyways, but I've been unable to get any of them working on my Steamdeck.
My personal order for focusing on easily working through the major quests is: Mage tower (so you can get Wynne as a healer, + get stat buffs from the fade section) > Brecillian forest (Next easiest quest IMO, also helps if you've brought up your coercion a bit to achieve the 'peace' ending) > Redcliffe (Doing the mage tower and saving the mages before Redcliffe pretty much ensures you can get
A (mostly solo) trap making run. I tried doing a blood mage/dark magic run, but it kinda sucked because I just eneded up using the elements again. But if I do trapmaking, and take no weapon skills, I might keep it together this time. Mages has all the best stuff in Origins nut dual wielding Rogue is also fun.

Actually, here is a good summary of all the DLC reward items, as far as I could tell it's spoiler free. That being said: Leliana's Song. Origins (complete Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keep & Return to Ostagar during the playthrough.

i just finished the main game (origins) and wanted to know what next. i have the ultimate edition, so i have all of them What’s a good order to play the DLC? Also I read that you can unlock items for Origins or Awakening; are these items worth unlocking first before finishing Origins and/or Awakening? This thread is archived Absolutely play origins first. You get the best experience playing them in order. Plus, whatever choices you makes in DA:O and DA:2 you will be able to upload them to the dragon age keep and create a custom world state for inquisition rather than just using a default world. Help: DLC Bonus Items Not Showing Up. I recently purchased the Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition on Steam to revisit one of my childhood favorite games. All the normal DLC (Stone Prisoner, Return to Ostagar, etc.) work as intended. However, I have been unable to get the bonus DLCs like Embri’s Many Pockets and the Memory Band to download. My only advice is in the darkspawn dlc. You can control an ogre for a bit. If the first one makes it to the end without any dying you get an achievement, but if it dies your console will never be able to get the achievement. On pc I imagine you make a new steam account or something. r/dragonage. DLC Order. This is the rough order I plan on tackling both games. Let me know if something seems off. Dragon Age: Origin Leliana's Song (Already beat it, but might do it again to get the armor) Origins Return to Ostagar (During Origins) Warden's Keep (During Origins) The Darkspawn Chronicles (After Origins) Awakening

The only origins I can think of that kind of affect DA2 and DAI are the Dalish and Magi ones. The former introduces Merrill and eluvians and the latter Cullen, all of which are relevant in future games. The Magi origin also offers a more in-depth view of the Circle than you get anywhere else.

I bought the ultimate edition so I assumed it would just have all the DLC installed, but apparently you need to enable them. Thing is, they are not listed at all. This seems to be a somewhat prevalent issue installing from GoG with a couple of possible reasons and solutions.

Dragon Age 2 Beginnings of Act 1, stop after getting the 50 sovereign quest. Darkspawn Chronicles (a nightmare your warden/the new warden has that makes them seek Vigil’s Keep) Awakening. Intro, Amaranthine, and one main location DA1 Rest of Act 1 (must replay prologue with updated origins save, but it’s so fast.
You can win it though, you just need a Blood mage in your party. If your PC is a Blood mage, you can pretty much solo that fight on the highest difficulty. I never went that far, but I have beaten it on Nightmare. You miss out on a side branch quest and then the game goes on as normal if you beat them. 3.

So due to a full Steam HDD partition and stupidly high local prices, I pretty much had to pirate it or miss out. If there is a new Dragon Age released or a good enough expansion for Origins I will buy it for sure as I very much enjoyed the game and I now have plenty of room for Steam games. 4. 8.

So, complete list of main games and DLC to play, in order; Origins - Awakening - Witch Hunt - DA2 - Legacy - Inquisition - The Descent - Trespasser This may seem like a lot, but compared to the 100+ hours of the main games (varies), Awakening is roughly 15 hours and it’s the longest one.
Dragon Age Origins no longer works as of April 2023 [no spoilers] ※UPDATE: I have found and solved the problem (s). It has something to do with the new Windows 11 default system configurations, which renders the game unplayable. This will further complicate the DA:O installation procedures for everyone on Windows 11.
